Hugh Kaptur has been a practicing architect for over 50 years. At 86, he is still designing new homes and civic structures. He is part of the Palm Springs School of Architecture which includes other contemporaries such as William Cody, Palmer and Krisel and Albert Frey. Mr. Kaptur's designs are influence by the harsh desert climate where he practices and his buildings give the occupants a safe and protected space from the ravages of sun and sand. This film is a biography, and is narrated by Mr. Kaptur himself as he takes the viewers on a tour of his projects.
