Mind The Gap takes a peek into the boundaries of the built environment and the subsequent moments that take place between planned and unplanned instances.
These moments reflect the intentions of architectural design, and mimmic the way intolerance plagues the human condition.
While human intolerance is ingrained, architectural intolerance is incidental.
Alex and Mike, unplanned lovers, perform architecturally-informed movements within and around these found instances –
Voids, joints, rifts, crevices and material junctions.
They physically embody tolerance and equity in spaces where there is none – in this film and in their day-to-day lives.
Mind The Gap is a glimpse into the dark and bright side of equity in our world, the planned and the unplanned,
the queer and the ordinary.
